In collaboration with the artist Eva Dómenèch.
Funambulista is a playful installation which intends to raise awareness of the number of commercial and political intrusions we experience daily in our minds. The piece invites the user to be a tight rope walker traveling unstably over the world map. When he/she steps off an animation zooms to where the user has landed in the map and related audio/video content is shown. The installation features state-of-the-art technologies that integrate Microsoft Kinect’s input and Google Maps’ API for in-browser seamless interactivity.
I produced the music and audio samples for its exhibition at Sónar 2013. For its exhibition at “Generation i.2 - Aesthetics of the Digital in the 21st Century” at the museum Edith-Russ-Haus, I further developed more audio effects and supervised the development of a plug-and-play, robust version of the application.
